Spring Activities... Sugar Season!

When the days warm up, the sap starts to flow. The  Canadian tradition of maple sugaring' is a great way to enjoy the beautiful outdoors  of Lanark County. There is always lots of activity at the sugar bush. From the time we tap the first trees in February and early March to clean-up in May, we keep busy - often quite unreasonable hours - that's the life of a farm family though, and we love it!

We are open daily 9 AM to 5 PM all year round, but Spring is by far our busiest season.  Our busiest times are on weekends (especially Sunday) from 10AM to 1PM.  If you prefer a more leisurely visit it wouldn't hurt to come at off peak times, or even better on a weekday.  Whether or not the sap runs and we are boiling depends entirely on the weather.
